We welcome your comments and suggestions as we continuously try to improve our ability to foster dialogue on Internet governance.

This Web site aims to promote the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). It tries to meet the highest standards set by the W3C.

The second Open Consultations and MAG meeting will be held from 21 to 23 May 2013 at the European Broadcasting Union, Geneva, Switzerland.

Practical Information: On 21 May lunch will not be served at the EBU premises, the participants need to go outside the premises to have lunch. Further information about restaurants and taxis in proximity of  EBU is available.

Internet at EBU: Participants can connect to the Internet via WIFI. In order to make sure that all the participants stay connected, participants are advised to bring a standard Ethernet cable with them to EBU. The Ethernet cable can be connected to the sockets available on all the tables.

[NEW]Remote Participation- May 2013

Participants will be able to join the IGF Open Consultations and MAG meeting remotely. Live transcription is also available. Instructions on how to join the Open Consultations and MAG meeting is available. IGF Secretariat will stand ready to assist the remote participants with their inquiries and questions. Questions and inquiries about remote participation can be sent to igf[at]unog.ch.

[NEW] Pre-event

Requests to hold a pre-event at IGF 2013 should be sent to igf[at]unog.ch by 30 June 2013. Pre-events are held one day before the IGF annual meeting. The events should be Internet Governance related and the organizations are required to indicate the description and objective of the event, duration and the organizing entity in their request.

Call for Contributions

Stakeholders  are invited to send their written contributions and inputs on the 2013 IGF preparations, to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  The deadline for sending the contributions is 18 May 2013.

[NEW] IGF Village Booth

Organizations that would like to hold a booth at the 2013 IGF should send their request to igf[at]unog.ch, by 30 June 2013. Please provide the dates on which you would like to hold the booth.

Resource persons

Resource persons are volunteers who can be called upon to comment by moderators of the main sessions or asked to participate in workshop panels. Internet governance experts are invited to join the IGF resource persons list. In order to sign up as a resource person, please register or login here.

Open Forum

Organizations dealing with Internet governance related issues are to be given a 90 minute time slot during the IGF 2013, at their request, to hold an open forum in order to present and discuss their activities. The meetings should focus on the organization’s activities during the past year and allow sufficient time for questions and discussions. 
Each Open Forum will be required to produce a background paper and a report on the meeting.

To submit a request to hold an Open Forum meeting during the IGF 2013, please register or login here. The deadline to request an Open Forum time slot during the IGF 2013 is 30 June.

Dynamic Coalitions

During the IGF 2013, Dynamic Coalitions will be provided with a space to meet and to further develop their efforts. Meetings of Dynamic Coalitions should not be workshops. They should be Action Oriented and make an effort to ensure that a broad range of stakeholders can bring their expertise to the discussions. Only active Dynamic Coalitions can request for a meeting slot. Upon request, a group that wishes to form a new Dynamic Coalition may submit a proposal to the IGF Secretariat for a meeting slot. Interim Chair

Under-Secretary-General Wu Hongbo has appointed Mr. Markus Kummer as Interim Chair of the Open Consultations and MAG meetings. [PDF]

IGF Website Redesign

The IGF Secretariat is planning to redesign the actual website (www.intgovforum.org). You can send your comments in this section of the online forum regarding what you like and dislike about the current website and what would you like to see in the new one in terms of contents, layout and any other specific features until 20th of May 2012.
