Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Executive Coordinator, Núcleo de Pesquisas, Estudos e Formação da Rits (NUPEF)

Ms. Graciela Selaimen was nominated by the CS AL&C Caucus for the MAG selection process. For the last eight years, Ms. Selaimen worked in Rits and has actively participated in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) process. In the WSIS, she helps to inform the Brazilian civil society organizations about the issues, challenges and outcomes of the discussions. In addition, she co-created the Brazilian chapter of the CRIS Campaign.

In 2007, after organizing a preparatory process to the IGF meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Ms. Selaimen helped foster the participation of NGOs and social movements on the IGF process as the executive coordinator of NUPEF - Rits' Center for Research, Studies and Capacity Building.
