What worked well:

1. A first meeting of IGF was held - a major achievement in itself

What worked less well:

1. Meaningful identification of and discussion on major issues and emerging issues
   

Suggestions for improvements:

1. The format needs to include emerging issues in a more major way.
2. Commissioning some discussion papers on some major issues might be a good way to provoke discussion and also improve understanding.
3. Best practice forums on issues in which national governments can play a major role would be useful.
4. Gap analysis of issues affecting Internet growth which are not covered or not well covered by existing forums would be useful in identifying areas where IGF could make a lasting contribution
